It's a Man's World...

Really?

THis brief article is totally in response to what another young lady wrote about how we women have to be perfect these days and do everything and that our happinness is only at a 70%, and is on the decline.

This is of course because many still have this arhchaic attitude that "It's a Man's World" I just heard my co-worker utter this distasteful word and I have to say it took all of my energy to tell her that she pushed back the women's movement by 20 years.  I have to say that we women need to forge our own path of happiness and don't have to do it the same way as men.

While I do love an episode of "Mad Men"  it certainly displays sexism and the pre sexual revolution days at its finest.  Since then, we women have been able to do it all and have it all.  But nowadays I'm asking at what cost, so our men can be lazy and feel that they don't have to try as hard.  I' can't tell you all how many times I have seen the role reversal so severe that our women are now supoorting our men and yet the men still take advantage and end up leaving the women or cheating on her.

It's disgraceful and no wonder that we women are so un-happy, not only do we have to work all day, but then have to go home tend to the children, cook dinner and " please" our husbands.  Now, I may only be 25 and not married and don't have kids yet, but I see this as a dangerous pattern and I will de damned if I plan to repeat this.

Just an after-thought to this article I just read and a theme that I ahve beens eeing amoungst lots of women and the pressue to be so dang perfect while our men assume no responsibilities.

Agree and disagreements are definitely welcome :)
